How to spot a fake bank transfer slip before you ship
Shops that take bank transfers often get slips that do not match the money that arrived: edited images, old slips sent again, or transfers to someone else's account. Ship before checking and you lose the goods and the postage.
Slips to watch out for
- Slips with the amount, date or receiver edited in the picture
- The same slip sent again, or one slip used by two customers
- Transfers to an account that is not the shop's
- Amounts below what the customer owes
Check it yourself before shipping
- Open the shop's banking app and confirm the money arrived for that amount and time
- Check the receiver's name and account number on the slip are the shop's
- Compare the slip amount with what the customer owes
- Note the transaction reference so a repeat slip stands out
This works but takes time; the more orders, the more often admins switch to the banking app.
Let the system check the slip's QR code
Thai bank transfer slips carry a small QR code with the transfer's reference. Easyrobin reads that QR from slips customers send in chat and asks the bank for that transfer directly. What the shop sees is the bank's own amount, sender, receiver and time, not the text on the picture, so editing the picture cannot change the result, and a made-up QR shows 'transfer not found'.
The results a shop sees:
- Amount correct
- Transfer not found, or older than the shop's limit
- Receiving account is not one of the shop's
- Duplicate: the same transfer sent to the shop again
- Amount mismatch: below the shop's minimum or above its maximum
- No QR, or cannot be checked: a team member decides
The result comes back in the chat as a card and appears in the shop's slip check list, usually within seconds of the picture arriving. If the same transfer was also sent to another shop, the system warns you.
Good to know
- Slips are checked in LINE OA chats and LINE groups; web chat does not check slips yet
- The shop chooses whether the customer sees the result or only the team
- How many slips you can check each month depends on your plan; see the pricing page
In short
Never ship on a slip picture alone; confirm the money arrived. With many orders, let the QR check do it: the team answers faster and loses nothing to fake slips.
